Here is a brief summary of the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill which is one of the most popular home fitness equipment.

The things I like about this Bowflex Series 7 treadmill…

• The motor.  Most Series 7 treadmill owners love the powerful 3.0 hp motor. However, I am surprised many people did not mention the fact that the motor is considerably quieter than other treadmills in the same range.  Maybe it is not a big deal when most people use the treadmill while watching the TV or listening to the iPod.  However, I tend to believe that this little difference is related to a more efficient motor and emit less noise polution.
• Sturdy frame provides a sense of security and safety.  Whenever I am away on business or holidays, I always find time to exercise in the hotel gym.   I hate it when the hotels use cheap and under quality fitness machine.  I feel inferior when I ran on the treadmills that feel like they are going to fall apart with every step that I take.  Plus, it takes away the fun of running.
• Feels very safe.  The running belt gives sufficient traction when I run on it.  The grip is fantastic. Safety is a definitely an important aspect that I look for and I urge you to do the same.  Getting injured from using the treadmill is a real problem.

?The things that I hate and dislike…

• ??Mediocre Display/Screen.  The display does look a little outdated for today’s advance technology.  Although, this is not a top priority feature of any treadmill, I am sure people will enjoy with a better display.  Especially since how much the electronic media has advanced over the last few years.
• Heart Rate Monitor.  I never used this functionality.  I am not sure it works accurately since the reading is differs from the pocket monitor that I wear when I use the treadmill.  Bowflex should just consider to replace the built-in heart rate monitor with an external one.
• Set Up and Assembly.  Assembling the Bowflex Series 7 is more than meets the eye.  I find it pretty complicated – perhaps due to the hard to follow instructions.  Anyhow, if you are a female I highly recommend you ask a male friend to help with the installation.  Besides, the parts are heavy too.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill is a fine fitness equipment.  One where the good outweighs the ugly.
